The More You Know, The More You Kohl's

I made a trip to Kohls yesterday, not really for anything in particular...just looking to see if there was anything I couldn't live without! :)  Kohls has been in the process of redoing there stores and I was pleasantly surprised with what upgrades I found...

-Ripped up carpet in the Junior's department to reveal bare concrete floors (Very urban!)

-A total re-do of departments and their layouts (Easy flow layout which leads you from one department to the other)

-A convenient Customer Service/Return counter right as you enter the store (instead of all the way in the back corner)

-Nicely organized racks (Nothing over crammed)

-And the biggest change was there dressing rooms!  Nice big open dressing rooms, that are accessible from both sides not just by department)  A new modern color scheme, full length mirror, and return racks in the dressing room instead of on the outside. 

As you can see from my camera phone picture... I was so fascinated with the new hooks and how shopper friendly they were I just had to take a picture

I feel like all I ever talk about or post is pictures that are weather related! :) Well that's because it still blows my mind how damn hot it gets here! It did get to the 100 degree point about 2 weeks ago...but I forgot to take a picture. So needless to say I finally got one last Friday!

Unbearably HOT!

I ran errands this morning just for this reason...to avoid the heat.




When I arrived home just before noon and this is what the local weather station was telling me. Check out the humidity and dewpoint...Opressive! I am headed to the pool, to stay cool.

First Day of Summer!

....and it's a HOT one!! I ran errands this morning just to avoid the heat. (Hard to do when overnight lows only make it down to 77!) I spent the last few hours today on my day off out at the pool, reading a magazine and soaking up some sun, while taking the occasional dip just to cool off. The heat is supposed to remain in the low to mid 90's for the rest of the week.

It has been raining like crazy here all day today. Heavy downpour rains and localized flooding, tons of lightening and wall rattling thunder. We have a Tornado Watch out this evening and it has been been humid and muggy all day. This photo is out our back patio of the little stream of localized flooding we are experiencing.

POTD (Picture of the Day) I have been eagerly awaiting my 8 1/2 year old Jeep to hit this milestone! I mean really...I put under 50 miles a week on my car! I just happened to look down right as I was pulling in at home and noticed the odometer.

Happy Memorial Day! A much needed 3 day weekend for most!

Beautiful weather = Pool time! I know summer is a few more weeks away still, but it sure feels like summer outside. I spent the day relaxing at the pool (along with everyone else!) Soaking up the sun and taking the occasional dip in the pool to cool off.

I hope everyone had a safe holiday weekend and remember a little PSA... "Click it, or ticket" :)
